Today, a friend shared a photograph of a gorgeous sunset, where the golden orb hovered over the lake as though seeking permission to sink into the cool waters for well-deserved respite. It made me philosophical. Everything begins, everything ends, and in between is everything that matters. The sun rises and it sets, and that arc… Continue reading

Hope finds a way
With some people doing their best to destroy our shared world, who – and where – do you look to for hope? Nature nurtures those who nurture it in turn but turn against it and watch its fury unfurl
This heart’s a sponge
We don’t always have a choice about it, but whenever you can, choose to be in the company of those who uplift you. Your emotional well-being is worth fighting for. It is still February as I post this, but here’s wishing that every month is the month for love.
The silence is loud

I’m currently engaged in changing the way we – me and others – view disabilities. This poem is an effort to change focus from what is different about others and to bring the spotlight on human attributes which are relatable and non-discriminating.
Getting older: #Haiku
It’s the strangest thing, but the older I get, the faster the day seems to go.
I suspect this is because, earlier, I was able to pack a LOT into my days and they seemed endless.
And now? Now I’m older and have discovered a life where there is no mad rush to meet deadlines.
For people like me, deadlines mean productivity. An absence of them means lazy days…and procrastination…so before I know it, the day is done!
I’m not complaining, or am I?
