This isn’t my normal – #Poem #Disability
Hi folks, It is high time I shared a poem from my book ‘InVerse Medicine’. This one is about acquired disability and showcases how attitudinal and structural barriers can isolate the person and compound their struggle. This wasn’t always my normal. Getting older: #Haiku
It’s the strangest thing, but the older I get, the faster the day seems to go.
I suspect this is because, earlier, I was able to pack a LOT into my days and they seemed endless.
And now? Now I’m older and have discovered a life where there is no mad rush to meet deadlines.
For people like me, deadlines mean productivity. An absence of them means lazy days…and procrastination…so before I know it, the day is done!
I’m not complaining, or am I?
