Enticing Excerpt: read a snippet from @AuthorReet’s #Romance – Take One Fake Fiance

Posted on September 13, 2021July 23, 2024 by Reet Singh

To cheer up my Monday – and yours, too, hopefully – I’ve taken to sharing a short moment from one of my books.

Today, it is a scene from Mita and Tanay’s first meeting. Their story starts in Mauritius, but it takes them to India where a lot of the dramatic action takes place.

Always so busy, rushing from one thing to another,
when will we ever find the time to just be?

Where is the real me? – a poem

Posted on August 20, 2021July 23, 2024 by Reet Singh

Who am I, really, when no one is looking?

Who am I when I am alone?

Am I one thing or am I many – so many that even I don’t know the pieces of the puzzle that comprise me?

Posted on August 3, 2021August 3, 2021 by Reet Singh

It is raining cats and dogs where I live and our garden is a swimming pool. I have pictures to prove both things…

Farewell – a poem about love and loss

Posted on July 28, 2021May 8, 2024 by Upreet Dhaliwal

I hide in the open
letting the rain curtain me
from eyes that probe
for signs that I weep for you

Monsoon: a Haiku

Posted on July 18, 2021May 8, 2024 by Upreet Dhaliwal

Well, love it or hate it, it’s finally here.
The monsoon is eagerly awaited and equally dreaded…
Loved because of what it means to agriculture and forests,
and to power generation plants;
Loathed because of the flash floods and landslides, the humidity
and how it strains drainage systems.

This city does not want you
now that its roads are paved
