Scorched by His Fire

My first Harlequin® India romance novel

Scorched by His Fire

Scorched cover

Convenient boyfriend, inconvenient attraction!

Mita Ramphul can’t face another family set-up with a ‘nice young man’. What she needs is to divert her family’s attention… so introducing the devastatingly handsome Tanay Devkumar as her new boyfriend is a stroke of brilliance! Until Tanay’s blazing hot kisses threaten to shatter her plans for the perfect pretend date…

He might drive her crazy, yet spending time with Tanay sparks a passion Mita never knew she had. It’s only meant to be temporary, but when Tanay looks at her with that smouldering fire in his ebony eyes, Mita can’t help but surrender to the temptation of her fake boyfriend…!

 Sneak Peek

Mita’s heart fluttered, though she made sure her voice came out strong and sure.

‘Don’t you work at all? I thought detective work was twenty-four seven?’

‘It is. But I have the advantage that I’m my own boss.’

He had threatened to visit, hadn’t he? Still, his timing was less than perfect. She looked surreptitiously down at her bare legs. She was in casuals, minuscule casuals, and no amount of frantic stretching of fabric was going to cover her midriff.

Damn! Her skin sizzled where his gaze touched.

Tanay couldn’t take his eyes off her. Fully clothed was bad enough, this was slow torture. He took in the glorious cleavage exposed by the loosely tied halter top; the long tanned legs barely covered by tiny shorts; the exquisitely smooth, golden skin. He swallowed painfully.
