Getting older: #Haiku

It’s the strangest thing, but the older I get, the faster the day seems to go.
I suspect this is because, earlier, I was able to pack a LOT into my days and they seemed endless.
And now? Now I’m older and have discovered a life where there is no mad rush to meet deadlines.
For people like me, deadlines mean productivity. An absence of them means lazy days…and procrastination…so before I know it, the day is done!
I’m not complaining, or am I?

Here are some Haiku celebrating healthy aging…

Mechanical clocks
fail to over-ride inner timers
the body knows best

Stopping to enjoy
sights, sounds, smells, touch
gray hair rejoices

Wrinkles and smile lines
bear witness to a worthy past
the mirror reminds

Have a wonderful, safe, healthy month!
