This story was inspired by a need to revisit a time when it was more than all right to sit in coffee shops without a mask on, and to meet with relatives and friends as though a deadly virus did not lurk in the shadows.
I had fun writing this from a male perspective and also enjoyed the challenge of exploring love, loss, acceptance, and intrigue in just a few words.
The Blurb
Meet Fatehbir Singh, fearless ex-footballer from thirty years ago, who was once the darling of women wherever he played.
Feted as much for his prowess with the ball as for his dashing physique and good looks, he has managed to cruise through life – but then a catastrophic event upends everything. He is just about beginning to settle, when his son declares he has met the woman he wants to marry.
Who is this woman who has ensnared his son’s heart? More importantly, what does she have to do with the mysterious – and alluring – stranger who turns up at Fatehbir’s favorite coffee bar in Kolkata?
Why does he feel that he knows her from somewhere?
